Mehta's journey in the entertainment world began with theater shows. While studying in Delhi for three years, she showcased her talent in various theatrical productions. Her big break came when she landed a supporting role in the 2009 television series "12/24 Karol Bagh" on Zee TV. Playing the role of Neetu Sethi, a lively young woman opposite Ravi Dubey, she won hearts with her performance.

After the show ended, Mehta took on the lead role in another Zee TV production called "Apno Ke Liye Geeta Ka Dharmayudh." Following a hiatus from fiction shows, she made a comeback with the Zee TV mini-series "Rishton Ka Mela." In this series, she portrayed Deepika, a modern young woman, alongside a talented ensemble cast.

In July 2015, Mehta ventured into Punjabi cinema with her film debut in "Angrej," directed by Simerjit Singh. Starring alongside Amrinder Gill and Aditi Sharma, she showcased her versatility on the big screen.
