Born on December 20, 1984, in Kuwait City to a Gujarati Muslim family, Sanjeeda began her journey in entertainment with modeling and dance before transitioning to acting. She made her acting debut on television with the lead role of Nimmo in the popular series Kyaa Hoga Nimmo Kaa (2005-2007), earning widespread recognition. She further shone in shows like Kayamath, Ek Hasina Thi, and Love Ka Hai Intezaar.

Her movie career took off later, with early appearances in films like Baghban (2003) and others. She made her Hindi film debut in the lead with Taish (2020) opposite Harshvardhan Rane, followed by Kaali Khuhi (2020), Fighter (2024) as Saachi Gill, and the acclaimed web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar (2024) as courtesan Waheeda under Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Currently, Sanjeeda has an exciting slate of ongoing projects, including the comedy Dhamaal 4 (releasing July 3, 2026), the courtroom drama Ikka on Netflix (2026) alongside Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, and reports of a special role in Yash's pan-India film Toxic (March 2026).
