Rukmini Vasanth, born on 10 December 1994 in Bengaluru, began her acting career with her Kannada film debut in the Birbal Trilogy (2019). She gained widespread acclaim and won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress – Kannada for her heartfelt performance in the two-part romantic drama Sapta Saagaradaache Ello (Side A & Side B, 2023) opposite Rakshit Shetty.

She has since impressed audiences with roles in Baanadariyalli, Bagheera, Bhairathi Ranagal, her Telugu debut Appudo Ippudo Eppudo, Tamil films Ace and Madharaasi (2025), and the blockbuster Kantara: Chapter 1 (2025) as Princess Kanakavathi.

In 2026, Rukmini is at the peak of her career with major pan-Indian projects: Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups (releasing March 2026) opposite Yash as Melissa, and the highly anticipated action drama Dragon (also referred to as NTRNeel) opposite Jr NTR, directed by Prashanth Neel. She is also in talks for other big-ticket films, including potential collaborations with top directors.
