Born in Bengaluru, Rukmini Vasanth made her acting debut in the Kannada film Birbal Trilogy (2019). She rose to prominence with the critically acclaimed two-part romantic drama Sapta Saagaradaache Ello: Side A & Side B (2023), earning the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress – Kannada.

She followed with Baanadariyalli (2023), Bagheera and Bhairathi Ranagal (2024), and her Telugu debut Appudo Ippudo Eppudo (2024). In 2025, she entered Tamil cinema with Ace and Madharaasi, and starred as Kanakavathi in the blockbuster Kantara: Chapter 1.

Ongoing projects include the highly anticipated pan-India film Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups (2026), where she plays Mellisa opposite Yash, directed by Geetu Mohandas. She is also part of Prashanth Neel’s Dragon with Jr NTR and has confirmed her Malayalam debut. With strong performances across languages, Rukmini is rapidly becoming one of South Indian cinema’s most promising talents.
