Born in Hyderabad on March 10, 1990, Ritu Varma began with short films before making her feature debut in a supporting role in the Telugu film Baadshah (2013). She took on her first lead in Prema Ishq Kaadhal the same year. Her breakthrough came with Pelli Choopulu (2016), where her performance as Chitra earned her the Nandi Award for Best Actress and the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress – Telugu.

She has since built a versatile career across Telugu and Tamil cinema with hits like Yevade Subramanyam, Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal, Oke Oka Jeevitham, and Mark Antony. Recent works include the dual-role outing in Swag (2024) and Mazaka (2025). She also starred in the web series Devika & Danny.

Upcoming projects include the long-awaited Dhruva Natchathiram opposite Vikram and BharataVarsha. Ritu continues to impress with her natural charm both on screen and in fashion.
