Actress Regina Cassandra known for her strong roles in Tamil and Telugu films, is steadily growing in Bollywood. Though she has been acting in the South for nearly 20 years, she entered Hindi cinema only in 2019 with Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, where she played a queer character. Since then, Regina has appeared in projects like Rocket Boys, Farzi, and Kesari 2.

Speaking about her journey in one of the interviews, she said, "I've always wanted to be a versatile actor. Luckily, I've had the chance to do different kinds of roles. She also opened up about how Bollywood often casts her as a South Indian character. "Will they cast me as a North Indian? I don�t know. Should they? Yes. The South has always welcomed North Indian actors, but Bollywood needs to do the same." She added, "Not knowing the language is an excuse. We�ve got bigger issues to deal with. You can train actors or dub their voice."

Regina shared that she has auditioned for North Indian roles and even asked filmmakers not to change her character's region unnecessarily. "I know I can look like a North Indian too," she added.

Looking forward, Regina will be seen in Section 108 with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mookuthi Amman 2 alongside Nayanthara.
