Regina Cassandra has been a successful actor in the South Indian film industry for nearly 20 years. While she is well-known in Tamil and Telugu cinema, her Hindi film journey began in 2019 with Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga. Since then, she has acted in several Hindi projects like Rocket Boys, Farzi, and Kesari 2. However, she is often cast in South Indian roles, even in Bollywood.

In a recent interview, Regina expressed her wish to play more North Indian characters. She believes that language should not be a barrier. According to her, actors can learn accents and dub their lines. She feels Bollywood must move beyond regional stereotypes and give actors like her a chance to show versatility.

Regina shared how she enjoys playing different types of roles from powerful women to silent supporters. In Kesari 2, she played Akshay Kumar’s wife, and although her screen time was short, her presence left an impact. She says the audience’s appreciation for her performance, even in small roles, motivates her.

She also highlighted how South Indian cinema has been open to casting actors from other regions. She admires directors who believe in talent over regional identity. Regina also spoke about her upcoming projects like Section 108 with Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Mookuthi Amman 2 with Nayanthara.
