Meanwhile, the upcoming movie "Indian 2," directed by the renowned Shankar Shanmugam, is set for a grand release on July 12, 2024. The contemporary follow-up to the original classic stars an ensemble cast including Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, SJ Suryah, Bobby Simha, Priya Bhavani Shankar, and Kajal Aggarwal. Featuring the last on-screen moments of stars Vivek and Nedumudi Venu, this film holds special significance. The musical score is created by Anirudh Ravichander.

Produced by Subaskaran Allirajah under the Lyca Productions banner, the film is also titled "Hindustani 2" for its Hindi version and "Bharateeyudu 2" for its Telugu version. Apart from "Indian 2," Rakul is set to appear in several Bollywood projects, including "De De Pyaar De 2" and "Mere Husband Ki Biwi."
