Born on October 5, 1991, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, Pujita Ponnada is a former software engineer who transitioned into acting after starting with short films. She made her feature film debut with the bilingual drama Oopiri (2016, Tamil: Thozha). She gained wider recognition with a notable supporting role in the blockbuster Rangasthalam (2018) opposite Ram Charan, followed by memorable performances in Kalki (2019), Where Is The Venkatalakshmi (2019), Miss India (2020), and Aakasa Veedhullo (2022) as the female lead.

Pujita has successfully balanced Telugu and Tamil cinema with films like Jorugaa Husharugaa (2023), Jolly O Gymkhana (2024), and Konjam Kadhal Konjam Modhal (2025).
