The one-shoulder design, ruched bodice, high slit, and flowing veil create a striking silhouette against the opulent backdrop of intricate architecture and golden hues. Wearing this is an ode to Ercell Bodden, my character in The Bluff. In the opening of the film she appears with a dupatta over her head, a subtle but meaningful marker of identity and strength.
I love a saree. And when I saw this piece walk down the couture runway last month, it felt like a saree with a modern twist. We immediately called Gaurav and asked him to hold it for me.
There’s a quiet power in its simplicity. The precision of the tailoring, the way it drapes and moves, felt both rooted and forward looking, and the bright yellow is so synonymous with the colorful palette of India.
To me, this piece is a testament to the growing global scope of Indian fashion and how beautifully our heritage continues to evolve.

The global icon began her acting journey with her debut in the Tamil film Thamizhan (2002), followed by her Bollywood entry in The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003). She rose to stardom with hits like Dostana, Fashion (National Award winner), and Bajirao Mastani. In Hollywood, she broke barriers with Quantico, Baywatch, The White Tiger, and The Matrix Resurrections.
Currently, Priyanka stars as Ercell "Bloody Mary" Bodden—a fierce former pirate protecting her family—in her debut Hollywood production The Bluff, a gritty swashbuckler directed by Frank E. Flowers, releasing on Prime Video February 25, 2026, co-starring Karl Urban.
