Born on 31 December 1989, Priya began as a news presenter on Puthiya Thalaimurai and acted in the TV serial Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai. She made her film debut in the successful Tamil romantic comedy Meyaadha Maan (2017) opposite Vaibhav.

She has since starred in hits like Kadaikutty Singam (2018), Monster (2019), Mafia: Chapter 1 (2020), Yaanai and Thiruchitrambalam (2022), Pathu Thala (2023), Demonte Colony 2, Black, and Zebra (2024).
