Born on December 31, 1989, in Tamil Nadu, Priya began her career as a software engineer at Infosys before transitioning to television as a news presenter on Puthiya Thalaimurai. She gained fame through the popular Star Vijay serial Kalyanam Mudhal Kadhal Varai. Her film debut came with the 2017 romantic comedy Meyaadha Maan opposite Vaibhav, earning her a SIIMA nomination for Best Female Debut.

She has since built a versatile career in Tamil and Telugu cinema with notable performances in Kadaikutty Singam, Mafia: Chapter 1, Pathu Thala, Thiruchitrambalam, Demonte Colony 2, Zebra, and Black. Priya is praised for her natural acting and strong screen presence across genres.
