Priya Bhavani Shankar lit up Instagram with her vibrant style, captioning her post: “Walked in lazy, walked out like a disco ball 💃 Big love to the team that glammed, hyped, and cracked me up through it all 💜✨”. Her colorful dress, paired with a rich purple shrug and sparkling emerald necklace, brought out a fun, playful side. With her hair tied up in a soft bun and a glowing smile, Priya’s cheerful vibe matched perfectly with the bright red backdrop. The look was styled by Ashwin Thiyagarajan and captured by Lakshmi Jagan, while the glam team ensured her presence felt nothing short of festive.

Off-screen, Priya Bhavani Shankar has been riding high on the success of Demonte Colony 2, the sequel to the cult-favorite Tamil horror film that first released in 2015. The franchise, known for blending eerie stories with emotional depth, returned to theatres after eight years and found massive success. Priya’s role in the sequel, alongside Arulnithi, added fresh energy to the story and contributed to its strong 85-day box-office run. The second installment featured a solid cast and technical team, making it one of the standout horror films in recent times.

With the third chapter already in pre-production, excitement around the series continues to grow. Director Ajay Gnanamuthu teased fans with a picture from Malta back in April, hinting at what’s to come. The franchise takes inspiration from a real area in Chennai that’s said to be haunted, adding to its mystique. Speaking through her film choices and strong screen presence, Priya has carved a space for herself in genre cinema.
