Born on July 30, 2001, in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, Preity Mukhundhan is an engineer-turned-actress, model, and trained dancer. She holds a B.Tech degree from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli. She first gained attention through modelling and music videos, including the viral hit “Aasa Kooda” (2024).

She made her film debut in the Telugu horror-comedy Om Bheem Bush (2024) as Jalaja, followed by her Tamil debut as Meera Malarkodi in the romantic drama Star opposite Kavin. She later appeared as Nemali in the epic Kannappa (2025), made her Malayalam debut in Maine Pyar Kiya (2025), and starred in Sarvam Maya (2025).

In 2026, she featured in Blast and Idhayam Murali. Upcoming projects include the Telugu film Emo Emo Idi, Tamil’s Dashamakan, and her Hindi debut Naagzilla. Recently honoured with the IMDb Breakout Star Award, Preity continues her rapid rise across South Indian cinema.
