Born on July 30, 2001, in Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, Preity is a National Institute of Technology Trichy graduate who began as a model and dancer. She gained early attention through music videos, especially the viral 2024 hit “Aasa Kooda,” along with “Muttu Mu2” (2022) and “Morni.”

She made her film debut in the Telugu horror-comedy Om Bheem Bush (2024) as Jalaja. Wider recognition followed with her Tamil lead role as Meera Malarkodi in the romantic drama Star (2024) opposite Kavin. She continued expanding across industries with Kannappa (2025, Telugu), her Malayalam debut Maine Pyar Kiya (2025), and Sarvam Maya (2025) alongside Nivin Pauly.

Ongoing and upcoming projects include the Tamil films Blast (2026) and Idhayam Murali (2026), Telugu Emo Emo Idi, Dashamakan, and her Hindi debut Naagzilla (2027). Recently honoured with an IMDb Breakout Star award, Preity is rapidly establishing herself as a versatile pan-South Indian talent.
