Born on October 17, 1992, in Bangalore, Karnataka, Pranitha began as a model before entering films. Her movie debut came in 2010 with the Kannada action film Porki (remake of Pokiri), opposite Darshan, followed by Telugu debut Em Pillo Em Pillado the same year. She gained acclaim with Bheema Theeradalli (2012), Telugu hits like Baava (2010) opposite Siddharth, blockbuster Attarintiki Daredi (2013) with Pawan Kalyan, Rabhasa, Dynamite, and Tamil films including Masss (2015) opposite Suriya (earning Edison Award for Best Supporting Actress) and Enakku Vaaitha Adimaigal. She also appeared in Malayalam (Masterpiece, 2017) and Hindi projects like Bhuj: The Pride of India.
Known for her versatility across Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, and more, Pranitha took a break post-marriage and motherhood but returned strongly. Recent works include the Kannada romantic comedy-drama Ramana Avatara (2024) opposite Rishi. As of early 2026, she is preparing for a powerful comeback with upcoming Kannada projects and potential Telugu returns, while balancing family (expecting her second child) and social initiatives like the "Be Good Do Good" campaign.
