Born on October 17, 1992, in Bangalore, Pranita began her career as a model before entering films. She made her acting debut in 2010 with the Kannada film Porki, a remake of the Telugu hit Pokiri. She also starred in the Telugu film Em Pillo Em Pillado the same year and made her Tamil debut with Udhayan (2011).

She gained widespread recognition through successful films like Attarintiki Daredi (2013), Massu Engira Masilamani (2015) opposite Suriya, and Bheema Theeradalli. Pranita made her Bollywood entry with Hungama 2 (2021) and Bhuj: The Pride of India (2021). Her recent and upcoming projects include Ramana Avatara (2024), Thankamani (2024), and Kadapa (2026), highlighting her continued presence across South Indian and Hindi cinema.
