Born on January 12, 1991, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, Pragya Jaiswal is a law graduate from Symbiosis Law School who transitioned into acting. She made her acting debut in 2014 with the Tamil film Virattu (also known as Dega in Telugu). Her Hindi debut came the same year with Titoo MBA.

She gained widespread acclaim and a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South for her breakthrough performance in the 2015 Telugu period drama Kanche. Notable films in her career include Nakshatram, Achari America Yatra, Akhanda (her highest-grossing release alongside Nandamuri Balakrishna), and the 2024 Hindi comedy Khel Khel Mein.

Recently, she starred in the 2025 Telugu action film Daaku Maharaaj as Kaveri. Ongoing and upcoming projects include Akhanda 2: Thaandavam and Tyson Naidu, showcasing her versatility across Telugu and Hindi cinema.
