Born on January 12, 1991, in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, Pragya Jaiswal is a trained lawyer-turned-actress and model. She made her acting debut with the Tamil film Virattu (2014) and also appeared in the Hindi film Titoo MBA the same year. Her breakthrough came with the Telugu period drama Kanche (2015), where she played Sita Devi and won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South.

She has since worked in several Telugu films including Om Namo Venkatesaya, Jaya Janaki Nayaka, Achari America Yatra, and the blockbuster Akhanda (2021) opposite Nandamuri Balakrishna. In Hindi cinema, she featured in Khel Khel Mein (2024). Her recent Telugu outing Daaku Maharaaj (2025) saw her as Kaveri.

Currently, Pragya is filming Tyson Naidu (2026) and is set to reprise her role as Saranya Bachupally IAS in Akhanda 2: Thaandavam. With her poised screen presence and growing pan-Indian appeal, she continues to be a sought-after name in South Indian and Bollywood cinema.
