Born on April 5 in Mumbai to a Punjabi family, Poonam Bajwa is an Indian actress known for her work in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema. She began her career after winning the Miss Pune title in 2005 and pursued English Literature at Symbiosis International University.

She made her acting debut in the Telugu film Modati Cinema (2005) as Sindhu. She gained prominence with Boss (2006) opposite Nagarjuna and Parugu (2008). Her Tamil debut came with Seval (2008), followed by films like Thenavattu and Kacheri Arambam. She entered Malayalam cinema with China Town (2011) and later appeared in Pathonpatham Noottandu (2022) as the Queen of Travancore and Mei Hoom Moosa (2022).

In 2025, she featured as Dr. Fathima in the web series Arabia Kadali. With a versatile career spanning multiple languages, Poonam continues to take on diverse roles in films and OTT platforms.
