Fans are excited as Pooja Hegde is soon to be seen in the upcoming Tamil film Retro (subtitled Love, Laughter and War). This romantic action movie is written and directed by Karthik Subbaraj known for his unique storytelling style. Retro is being produced by Stone Bench Creations and 2D Entertainment. The film stars popular actor Suriya alongside Pooja Hegde in lead roles.

Pooja Hegde made a strong mark in both Bollywood and South Indian cinema. She began her career as a model and was crowned as the second runner-up at the Miss Universe India 2010 competition. She made her acting debut in the Tamil film Mugamoodi (2012) and gained recognition in Telugu cinema with hits like Oka Laila Kosam and Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo. Pooja also made her Bollywood debut opposite Hrithik Roshan in Mohenjo Daro (2016).
