Ritu Varma, born on 10 March 1990 in Hyderabad, started with short films and modelling before making her feature film entry with a small role in Baadshah (2013). She gained early attention in Yevade Subramanyam (2015) and rose to stardom with her lead role as Chitra in the critically acclaimed Telugu romantic comedy Pelli Choopulu (2016), winning the Nandi Award for Best Actress and Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress – Telugu.
She has delivered strong performances in Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal (2020), Oke Oka Jeevitham (2022), Mark Antony (2023), Swag (2024, dual roles), and Mazaka (2025). Her Tamil projects include Nitham Oru Vaanam and the long-awaited Dhruva Natchathiram opposite Vikram, directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon.
In 2026, Ritu continues her versatile journey with the Tamil release of Dhruva Natchathiram and the Telugu historical action drama Gopichand 33 (also referred to as Sankalp Reddy’s film), where she plays the fierce tribal character Sathyavathi opposite Gopichand.
