Born on 5 December 1992 in Delhi, Payal began her career on television before entering films. She made her film debut with the Punjabi movie Channa Mereya (2017), winning the Filmfare Award Punjabi for Best Debut Actress. Her Telugu debut came with the blockbuster RX 100 (2018), which became a major turning point and earned her the SIIMA Award for Best Female Debut – Telugu.

She has since delivered notable performances in films like Venky Mama (2019), Shava Ni Girdhari Lal (2021), Ginna, Head Bush (Kannada, 2022), and the intense thriller Mangalavaaram (2023). She also appeared in Rakshana (2024) as a police officer.

As of April 2026, Payal has several exciting projects lined up. She is gearing up for the Punjabi comedy Khushkhabri releasing on 17 April 2026, the Tamil film Leader (April 2026), Golmaal (May 2026), and the Telugu film Kirathaka (December 2026).
