Payal Rajput has had an interesting journey in her career. She first appeared on television. She played Sonakshi in Sapnon Se Bhare Naina. Later, she played Siya in Aakhir Bahu Bhi Toh Beti Hee Hai. She also acted as Ishaani in Gustakh Dil. Another noted role was Maya in Maha Kumbh: Ek Rahasaya, Ek Kahani. Her performances on television made her a known face.

In 2017, Payal Rajput made her debut in Punjabi cinema. She played Kainaat Dhillon in Channa Mereya opposite Ninja. The film was a remake of the Marathi hit Sairat. It released on 14 July 2017. In 2018, she entered Telugu cinema with RX 100. The film turned her into a star overnight. She later reunited with director Ajay Bhupathi for Mangalavaaram. The project gave her strong appreciation.
