Actress Payal Rajput has taken to her social media handle to share an emotional note about her father being diagnosed with cancer, along with a moving photo of his hands held in hers by the hospital bedside.

On this April 8, Payal posted on her Instagram account to inform her followers about her father’s diagnosis and that he had begun his first round of chemotherapy. Payal wrote, “Hello everyone. My father has recently been diagnosed with oesophageal carcinoma (cancer). We’ve decided to begin treatment at KIMS Hospital, and today is his first chemotherapy session. I’m feeling a bit scared about this long journey ahead, but we know it’s necessary. My dad is strong and determined to recover.”

Payal also shared how her father’s strength has been a source of motivation. “Even amidst this challenging time, my father encourages me to keep working and return to my shoots and events. As I navigate through this difficult journey, I wanted to share this update with all of you. Your love, support, and positive vibes mean the world to us right now. We’re hopeful for his recovery, and every blessing counts as we face this battle against cancer together.”
