She did science in PUC because her family wanted her to become a doctor. Later, they allowed her to study fashion designing. She started her career in modeling and appeared in advertisements.

She made her film debut with 1983, a Malayalam sports drama. The film was directed by Abrid Shine. Nivin Pauly played the lead role. Nikki was part of the supporting cast. The film received good reviews.
