A former cardiologist turned beauty queen, she was crowned Miss India UK 2010 and runner-up at Miss India Worldwide 2010. Granddaughter of legendary Bollywood musician O.P. Nayyar, Niharica transitioned to acting after pursuing medicine. She made her movie debut in the Bengali film Damadol (2013), followed by her Hindi entry in the horror thriller 6-5=2 (2014). She gained wider recognition with roles in Waarrior Savitri (2016), the comedy Total Dhamaal (2019) as Dream Girl, the blockbuster Sooryavanshi (2021) as Inspector Tara, and IB 71 (2023) as an air hostess/agent, earning praise and awards including a Dadasaheb Phalke honor.
Her multilingual career spans Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, and international projects like the German film Raspberries with Mustard (2021). Recent works include Janma Runna (2024, Marathi) and Aadrika (2025, Malayalam psychological thriller).
Ongoing projects feature Being Alive (2025), Petu, Mercy (recently started shooting), and others in production under Raizada Entertainments.
(You think you'll go to the country you love and they'll understand, love, appreciate you for who you are; you realize so many things, keep thinking about it, while they keep acting. But you will triumph.) Her journey reflects perseverance in global cinema.
