Meanwhile, a few days back Amboli police have registered a First Information Report against a domestic worker after jewellery worth ₹34 lakh was reported missing from actress and social media personality Neha Malik’s residence. Officers said the family suspected the worker, Shehnaz Shaikh, 30, because she did not come to work the day after the theft.

Police said Neha Malik’s mother, Manju Malik, 65, filed the complaint after she discovered the jewellery missing from her cupboard. She told officers she left Shaikh alone in their Four Bungalows home while she went to the gurudwara. When Shaikh did not come the next day, Manju called her but got no reply. After finding the jewellery gone, she searched the house and reported the incident.
