Namrata Shirodkar, once a well-known actress in Bollywood, stepped back from acting after marrying Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu. Before her retirement, she had a successful career and even made an appearance in Hollywood through the film Bride and Prejudice, where she played Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's sister. At that time, she was offered numerous roles but chose to pivot her career in a different direction.

Namrata's last film was Rok Sako To Rok Lo, alongside Sunny Deol, which released in 2004. After retiring from acting, she relocated from Mumbai to Hyderabad, leaving her film career behind. However, in 2022, she ventured back into the industry as a producer for the film Major. This move signifies her continued connection to cinema, albeit from a different angle.
