This news arrives as authorities are stepping up efforts to stop celebrities from supporting such platforms. Ghosh is excited to host the upcoming �MelBet Night Show,� her first big project with a betting company.

The move comes as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is taking stronger action against stars promoting betting apps. Recently, 29 celebrities, including actor Vijay Devarakonda, faced charges for endorsing illegal platforms like Parimatch and Lotus365 which don�t follow India�s Public Gambling Act of 1867 or state gaming rules. In Telangana, a five-member Special Investigation Team (SIT), formed by the Director General of Police in March 2025, is working to tackle these illegal sites, following orders from Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
