Born on 28 September 1985 in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, Mouni Roy first gained massive popularity on television with shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and the blockbuster series Naagin.

She made her film debut with a special appearance in Tum Bin 2 (2016) and delivered a full-fledged lead role in Gold (2018) opposite Akshay Kumar. She went on to star in Romeo Akbar Walter (2019), Made in China (2019), and played the memorable antagonist Junoon in Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva (2022). Recent credits include Blackout (2024) and the horror-comedy The Bhootnii (2025) as Mohabbat.

Her upcoming projects feature Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai (2026) directed by David Dhawan, Madhur Bhandarkar’s The Wives, and a special appearance in the Telugu film Vishwambhara (2026). This graceful saree image perfectly captures the sophisticated screen presence that has defined Mouni’s successful transition from television to the big screen.
