Born on September 28, 1985, in Cooch Behar, West Bengal, Mouni Roy rose to fame on television with shows like Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev (as Sati), and the blockbuster Naagin. She made her film debut with the Punjabi movie Hero Hitler in Love (2011) and marked her Bollywood debut with Gold (2018) opposite Akshay Kumar, earning a Filmfare nomination for Best Female Debut.
