Monami Ghosh made her film debut in Kalo Chita (The Black Leopard), a Bengali adventure drama released in 2004. Directed by Satarupa Sanyal, it was based on a story by Samaresh Majumdar and produced under the SCUD Production Company banner. That film began her long journey in Bengali cinema.

Most recently, Monami appeared in Padatik (2024), a biographical film on legendary filmmaker Mrinal Sen. Directed by Srijit Mukherji, it was released on Independence Day and received wide appreciation. Monami won the Filmfare Bangla award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the movie. Her performance was praised as heartfelt and strong with critics calling it one of the most memorable parts of the film�s ensemble cast.
