India Stands Tall: PM Modi Honours Bravehearts at Adampur Air Base
He later shared photos from his visit on social media, highlighting his interaction with the armed forces.
By: Tupaki Desk | 13 May 2025 11:03 AMPrime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Air Force Station (AFS) Adampur in Jalandhar earlier today to personally meet and commend the valiant air warriors and soldiers who played a pivotal role in Operation Sindoor. He later shared photos from his visit on social media, highlighting his interaction with the armed forces.
In his post, PM Modi wrote:
"Earlier this morning, I visited AFS Adampur and met our brave air warriors and soldiers. It was a truly special experience to be among those who embody courage, determination, and fearlessness. India remains eternally grateful to our armed forces for their unwavering dedication."
The visit comes shortly after the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan. Adampur Air Base was one of the key operational hubs during Operation Sindoor, actively involved in countering drone threats launched from across the border.
Addressing the nation last night, PM Modi emphasized that the government has empowered the armed forces with full operational freedom to combat terrorism. He reaffirmed that the Indian Air Force, Army, Navy, Border Security Force, and Paramilitary Forces remain on high alert. PM Modi also lauded Operation Sindoor for setting a new precedent in India’s counter-terror efforts.
