Actor and former politician Mimi Chakraborty recently shared a refreshing moment from her beach holiday giving her fans a glimpse of pure peace and joy. In the Instagram post, Mimi is seen standing by the shore gazing into the distance with a calm smile. She is dressed in a bright pink look with the waves behind her and a boat anchored nearby.

She captioned the post: “Sun sea sand nd my bstts thats all 💕💕💕🙊🧜‍♀️”, letting her followers know she’s enjoying some well-deserved time with her close friends.

Recently, Mimi Chakraborty spoke about her decision to step away from politics. In an open interview, she shared how difficult it was to manage both her acting career and her role in politics. Mimi said, “It is a very difficult thing (to balance). If people know how to manage it, then it's fine, but Bengal is too much in politics. In other parts of India, when you become an MP, you don't have so much responsibility because people there don’t know politics as much. In Bengal, everyone understands politics—every tea shop conversation revolves around it. You can't just play around here.” She also pointed out how strong the opposition is in Bengal, making it even tougher.

Talking further, she added, “At the same time, my career was also there. So, I had to (quit). I was not able to concentrate on both. I'd rather choose something which I can do well.” Mimi had shared before that she never wanted to enter politics so early. Although she planned to resign in 2022, she stayed on to ensure that people continued getting benefits like free medical passes and cancer check-ups. Finally, on 15 February 2024, she submitted her resignation expressing her unhappiness with the local leadership in her area.
