Despite her last two movies not performing as expected, Malavika is poised for a grand comeback with two major projects. She will star alongside Vikram in Pa. Ranjith's much-anticipated film "Thangalaan" produced by Jyoti Deshpande and K.E. Gnanavel Raja. Pa. Ranjith who is not only directing but also co-writing the screenplay with Tamil Prabha and Azhagiya Periyavan promises a cinematic treat.

The film’s visual aesthetics will be captured by A. Kishor Kumar, while G.V. Prakash Kumar will create its musical landscape.

Additionally, Malavika is set to make her Telugu debut in the romantic horror film "The Raja Saab" featuring notable names like Prabhas, Niddhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar. Directed by Maruthi and enriched with music by Thaman S., the film is anticipated to hit the screens either in December this year or in January 2025.
