Malavika Mohanan�s presence redefines classic style

Malavika Mohanan is a talented actress. She has mainly worked in Malayalam and Tamil films. Malavika is the daughter of renowned cinematographer K U Mohanan and Beena Mohanan. She belongs to Payyanur in Kannur, Kerala.

She made her acting debut with the romantic drama Pattam Pole in 2013. This marked her entry into Malayalam cinema. Malavika later made her debut in Tamil cinema with the movie Petta. She played the role of Poongodi Malik in the film alongside Superstar Rajinikanth.

Her career reached new heights with the Tamil action movie Master. Master was released in 2021. The film was directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj and produced by XB Film Creators. Thalapathy Vijay played the lead role of the protagonist. Vijay Sethupathi appeared as the antagonist. Malavika Mohanan played a key supporting role. Master tells the story of John Durairaj, a college professor. He is an alcoholic and takes a temporary teaching job at a juvenile home. There, he clashes with Bhavani, a ruthless gangster. Bhavani uses the children in the juvenile home for his illegal activities. The film was a major commercial success and further strengthened Malavika�s position in Tamil cinema.
