Malaika began her career as an MTV VJ before making her film debut with a special appearance in the iconic song “Chaiyya Chaiyya” from Dil Se (1998). She later took on acting roles in films such as Kaante (2002) and EMI (2008), while becoming a household name through unforgettable item numbers like “Munni Badnaam Hui” in Dabangg (2010), which she also co-produced.

Her recent special appearances include songs in An Action Hero (2022), Yek Number (2024), and Thama (2025). Beyond films, she continues as a judge on popular dance reality shows and has expanded into entrepreneurship with her lifestyle brand Maejoy.
