Born on December 15, 1990, in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, Lavanya started as a model and won Femina Miss Uttarakhand. She made her television debut with Pyaar Ka Bandhan (2009) and entered films with the Telugu movie Andala Rakshasi (2012), earning critical acclaim for her debut performance.
