Born on July 27, 1990, in New Delhi, Kriti began her career as a model before making her acting debut in 2014 with the Telugu film 1: Nenokkadine opposite Mahesh Babu. Her Bollywood entry came the same year with Heropanti, earning her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. She gained wider fame with Dilwale (2015) and delivered acclaimed performances in Bareilly Ki Barfi (2017), Luka Chuppi (2019), and Housefull 4 (2019). Her powerful role in Mimi (2021) won her the National Film Award for Best Actress.
