Krithi Shetty, born on 21 September 2003 in Mumbai to a Tulu-speaking family from Mangalore, made her acting debut as a lead in the 2021 Telugu blockbuster Uppena opposite Panja Vaishnav Tej. The film was a massive commercial success, grossing over ₹100 crore, and earned her the prestigious Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut – South. She had a small role earlier in the Hindi film Super 30 (2019).

Her career quickly gained momentum with notable Telugu films like Shyam Singha Roy (opposite Nani), Bangarraju, The Warriorr, Macherla Niyojakavargam, and Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali. She has also appeared in Tamil and Malayalam projects, including A.R.M (Ajayante Randam Moshanam) and Custody.

In 2026, Krithi has been quite busy with several releases and ongoing projects. She starred in the Tamil action-comedy Vaa Vaathiyaar (January 2026) alongside Karthi. Her much-awaited sci-fi rom-com LIK: Love Insurance Kompany (directed by Vignesh Shivan) is generating buzz. Other projects include the fantasy film Genie and potential Bollywood ventures, including talks for an action thriller with Tiger Shroff.
