Apart from her charming presence in photoshoots, Krithi Shetty has also been part of an interesting story in the film industry. Actor Vijay Sethupathi once refused to act opposite her in the film Laabam. Krithi had earlier played his daughter in her debut film Uppena, and Vijay felt it wouldn’t be right to appear opposite her as a romantic lead. He said that although the makers initially wanted Krithi for the film, he was not comfortable with the idea. “She played my daughter in her debut film. It just didn’t feel right,” Vijay shared honestly.

Following his decision, Shruti Haasan was brought in for the role instead. This incident won Vijay a lot of praise for his values and professional ethics.
