Kristen Stewart Rocks Red Dress with Fierce Attitude

Kristen Stewart set the red carpet ablaze in a bold red gown that perfectly balanced elegance with attitude. Her Instagram post, captioned simply as “skyfall @kristennstewartu,” captured her radiant confidence at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.

While she attracted in front of the camera, Kristen also made waves behind it. Her directorial debut The Chronology of Water, premiered at Cannes and earned a standing ovation lasting more than four minutes. The film adapted from Lidia Yuknavitch’s memoir stars Imogen Poots in a gripping performance that had audiences emotional. Kristen’s direction was raw and fearles perfectly capturing the pain, chaos and eventual healing woven into Yuknavitch’s real-life story.

In a touching moment after the premiere, Kristen, dressed in a crisp white short suit and cap, hugged her crew, kissed her wife Dylan Meyer and addressed the audience with heartfelt emotion. “This is an absolutely insane, surreal experience… We finished the movie like five minutes ago… thank you,” she said before leaping into Cannes chief Thierry Fremaux’s arms.

This film has been Kristen’s passion project for years. She refused to take on new acting roles until she brought it to life. That dream became reality in the summer of 2024, as the film was shot over six weeks in Latvia and Malta.
