Komalee Prasad grew up in Bellary, Karnataka. She studied at Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences. She did a Bachelor of Dental Surgery there. Even though she studied medicine, she chose a different path. She found her love for acting. She started working in the Telugu film industry.

She made her acting debut in 2016. Her first film was Nenu Seetha Devi. In 2017, she played Sravanthi in Napoleon. Later, she acted in many more films. She played Komalee in Anukunnadi Okati Ayinadi Okati in 2020. She played Shruthi in Rowdy Boys in 2021. She acted as Neelima in Sebastian P.C. 524 in 2022. She played Varsha in HIT: The Second Case in the same year. She is also part of the upcoming film Sasivadane.

Komalee also worked in web series. She played Asha in Loser in 2020. It streamed on ZEE5. She also acted in Modern Love Hyderabad in 2022. She played Indu in the Finding your Penguin segment. It streamed on Amazon Prime Video.
