She gained widespread recognition for her role as Lachimi in the horror film Maa Oori Polimera (2021) and its sequel.

Kamakshi has built a strong presence in Telugu cinema with versatile performances.She has an exciting lineup of upcoming projects, including 12A Railway Colony (horror thriller opposite Allari Naresh), Laila (as Sundari), Show Time with Naveen Chandra, Mension House Mallesh, and the pan-India bilingual Dacoit: A Love Story (2026). Maa Oori Polimera 3 is currently in production.
