Jyoti Poorvaj, also known as Jyothi Rai, is a versatile Indian actress who has carved a niche in South Indian cinema with her striking screen presence and emotional depth. Born in 1984 in Madikeri, Karnataka, she first gained popularity through Kannada and Telugu television serials like Jogula (as Devaki) and Guppedantha Manasu, where her performances consistently boosted TRPs.

Her movie debut came in 2017 with the Tulu drama Madipu, directed by Chethan Mundadi. She transitioned successfully to the big screen, appearing in notable Kannada films such as Supplier Shankara, Dia (2020), Sitarama Kalyana, 99, and Jersey Number 10 (2023). Jyoti has also featured in Telugu projects like Akhanda 2 - Thaandavam and KA, showcasing her range across languages.

Currently, she is generating buzz with her role in the sci-fi action thriller Killer (also called Killer: Dream Girl), directed by her husband Suku Poorvaj. The film blends action, emotion, and science-fiction elements, with Jyoti playing a central "Dream Girl" character. She is also set to return to Kannada cinema with Halka Don.With her graceful style and evolving career, Jyoti Poorvaj continues to shine as a talented star in the South film industry.
