Born in Madikeri, Karnataka, around 1984-85, Jyoti began her journey in television serials. She became a household name with popular Kannada shows like Kinnari, Mooru Gantu, Jogula (as Devaki), and her Telugu debut Guppedantha Manasu (as Jagati), where her emotional performances consistently delivered high TRPs.

Her movie debut came in 2017 with the Tulu drama Madipu, directed by Chethan Mundadi. She transitioned successfully into Kannada cinema with films such as Supplier Shankara, Dia (2020), Jersey Number 10 (2023), Sitarama Kalyana, Gandhada Gudi, and 99.
