Jyothi's Looks Will Make You Go Gaga

Jyothi is often mistaken for Devaki from the Kannada series of the same name due to her striking portrayal of the character. This role in the serial made her a well-known face, with the show airing for more than 200 episodes. Known affectionately as the Shruthi of the small screen, Jyothi hails from Coorg but identifies as a Mangalorean. Her career started in an unusual way; she previously worked at Accenture before venturing into the world of television. It was the TV series "Jogula" that brought her significant fame, where she played the role of Devaki, a surrogate mother. Her performance captivated Kannada TV viewers and is still the role she is most remembered for. Following this, she was also seen in "Bandhe Barathava Kaala" on ETV.

Despite her concerns about playing only pretty characters in Kannada movies, Jyothi remains enthusiastic about performing in films. She feels that while television offers more roles for women, movies still fall short in representing women fully. Her husband, Padmanabha Rai, who is a networking engineer, supports and motivates her to pursue her acting dreams. However, Jyothi faced a significant personal setback in 2009 when she had to undergo a pregnancy abortion.

On her Instagram, Jyothi recently shared a beautiful photo dressed in a shimmering blue dress. The caption read, "Illuminating every shadow with her light.”
