Born in Mumbai in 1995, Jiya began her career early and made her film debut in the Telugu movie Entha Andanga Unnave (2013). She followed it with the Tamil film Kanavu Variyam (2017) and another Telugu project, Hyderabad Love Story (2018).

She rose to prominence on television with lead roles such as Dr. Ira in Meri Hanikarak Biwi, Susheela in Kaatelal & Sons, and Pavithra in the supernatural drama Pishachini. In 2022, she delivered a notable performance as Nisha Katkar in the successful Marathi film Ved opposite Riteish Deshmukh. She also gained wider attention as a contestant on Bigg Boss OTT 2 in 2023.

Her ongoing projects include the lead role of Aditi in the Tamil romantic drama Kadhal Reset Repeat (2026), directed by A.L. Vijay. Jiya continues to balance television, films, and other appearances across languages.
