Born on March 6, 1997, in Mumbai, Janhvi Kapoor is the daughter of late actress Sridevi and producer Boney Kapoor. She made her Bollywood debut with the romantic drama Dhadak (2018) opposite Ishaan Khatter, a remake of the Marathi film Sairat. The film was a commercial success and earned her the Zee Cine Award for Best Female Debut.

She proved her acting prowess with the National Award-winning biographical drama Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl (2020), followed by the horror-comedy Roohi (2021), survival thriller Mili (2022), and sports romance Mr. & Mrs. Mahi (2024). She expanded her range with Bawaal (2023), spy thriller Ulajh (2024), and a special appearance in the pan-India blockbuster Devara: Part 1 (2024) opposite Jr NTR.

In 2025, she featured in Homebound, Param Sundari, and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. As of April 2026, her upcoming projects include the much-awaited Telugu action drama Peddi opposite Ram Charan (April 30, 2026), Lag Jaa Gale, and other pan-India films showcasing her growing versatility.
